RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

• 4x10 rotating shift schedule with shift times of 7:00 AM–5:30 PM (standard), 7:00 AM–5:30 PM (late), and 10:00 AM–8:30 PM (close as needed)
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating on-call required, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, subject to change based on unit needs
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Minimum of one year of EP experience required
• Interventional scrub experience required
• Experience in high volume, high acuity Cath Lab setting required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must pass Relias EKG exam
• Epic charting system experience required
• Navy scrubs required
• Will float within service line as needed
• Block scheduling not available
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility; no local candidates accepted
• RN Circulator role working in diagnostic and interventional PCI environment
• Responsibilities include administering conscious sedation under attending physician direction, handing off sterile supplies, assessing vitals, and documenting in Epic
• May cross-train to run hemodynamics in the monitor tech role
• Common patient diagnoses include AMI, chest pain, heart failure, NSTEMI, aortic stenosis, V-Tach, endocarditis, Afib, peripheral vascular disease, and sick sinus syndrome
• Special equipment includes Epic documentation system, Impella, and IABP
• Key skills include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, PCI, left and right heart catheterization, conscious sedation, circulating and scrubbing procedures, IABP placement/removal, and Impella insertion
