PCU Registered Nurse Job in Wisconsin Rapids, WI

Aspirus Riverview Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). You will work 12-hour shifts on a day and night rotation, with three shifts per week guaranteed at 36 hours weekly. This is a 91-day contract beginning May 11, 2026.

Shift Details

• 3x12 day and night shifts (6:45 AM–7:15 PM or 6:45 PM–7:15 AM)
• Shift rotation every week or every two weeks
• Every other weekend (Friday through Sunday)
• Every other holiday
• No on-call or callback responsibilities

Your Role

You will care for patients in our 8-bed Intermediate Care Unit with telemetry monitoring. Patient ratio is 4:1. Your responsibilities include managing primary patients, insulin drips, and patients with conditions such as stable sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke. You may float to other inpatient units as needed and potentially to other south region locations including Stevens Point, Plover, and Divine Savior.

Requirements

• Current Wisconsin RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC required)
• Minimum 2+ years experience in stepdown, intermediate care, or PCU
• EPIC charting experience
• Associate degree or certificate in nursing
• Completed travel contract preferred but not required
• Ability to work within 50-mile radius of facility

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,462.40 for 36 guaranteed hours per week.

You will work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing change effectively and maintaining resilience. Any color scrubs are accepted.
