ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - CCU; ICU Float

Job Details:

• Float to multiple ICUs including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac/Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID units
• Patient ratio of 2:1 on all ICU shifts
• Float to inpatient floors when needed with a ratio of no more than 1:3
• Float to non-critical care units if census is low in ICU and may be asked to serve as a patient sitter if needed
• Every other weekend requirement with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule plus holiday rotation
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
• Specific CVICU experience is not required
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required, plus a minimum of 1 year CV ICU experience
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Charting system: EPIC (experience preferred)
• Free parking available
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, OCN, TNCC, CCRN, Chemo, ONS
• Required skills: Vents, IV start, Telemetry, Conscious Sedation, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Care of Ventilated Patient, Central line care/management, Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips
• Preferred skills: Swans-hemodynamic interpretation, IABP, Impella, ECMO, CRRT/CVVHD, ICP monitoring, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Triage, Level 1 Trauma Experience, Administration of chemotherapy
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation
