Pediatric Hematology / Oncology RN Job in Mesa, AZ

You will work as a Registered Nurse in Pediatric Hematology / Oncology at Banner Desert Medical Center, located at 1400 S Dobson Rd in Mesa, Arizona. This is an 89-day travel assignment with a start date of August 17, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• Shift: 3x12 Nights (three 12-hour night shifts per week)
• Weekly pay: $2,310.30

Your Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and medical plan of care
• Coordinate, delegate, and supervise activities of the health care team to implement patient care plans
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner in the patient record
• Provide care based on best available evidence and participate in shared leadership and quality improvement initiatives
• Precept and mentor facility personnel, patients, students, families, and visitors as appropriate

Physical Demands

• Stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Lift up to 75 pounds regularly
• Use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids

Required Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license
• APHON (Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting required
• Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Professional certification
