PCU RN Job in Altoona, PA

Join UPMC Altoona's Progressive Care Unit as a Registered Nurse. You will provide direct patient care in a stepdown environment, supporting patients who require intermediate-level monitoring between intensive care and general medical floors.

What You'll Do:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the PCU setting
• Monitor patient conditions and vital signs, recognizing and responding to changes promptly
• Assess patient needs and implement appropriate nursing interventions based on clinical judgment
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care and optimal outcomes
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all patient care, assessments, and progress
• Communicate effectively with patients and families about their care plan and recovery
• Respond quickly to patient requests and clinical changes, providing timely interventions

What You Need:

• Current RN license (PA)
• Previous stepdown or critical care experience preferred

• Weekly pay: $2,300.40
