Telemetry RN Job in Des Moines, IA

You will work as an RN in the Medical Surgical Telemetry unit at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. This is a 90-day travel assignment beginning April 16, 2026.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical surgical nursing care to your assigned patient population
• Monitor patients requiring telemetry and cardiac monitoring
• Deliver specialized patient care in a fast-paced telemetry environment
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Schedule and Compensation

• 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule
• Weekly pay: $2,007.72
• 90-day assignment

About the Assignment

You will join a dedicated telemetry team at a major medical center in Des Moines, providing care to patients who need continuous cardiac and vital sign monitoring. Your nursing expertise in medical surgical care combined with telemetry knowledge will be essential to this role. The every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday schedule provides predictable time off while maintaining unit staffing needs.

This assignment offers you the opportunity to expand your travel nursing experience while working nights in a specialized unit. You will be responsible for patient assessments, medication administration, patient education, and documentation in accordance with facility protocols and nursing standards of care.
