RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 hours guaranteed weekly
• 13-26 week contract assignments available
• Patient ratio of 1:6-7
• Floating required as needed with potential to float every shift
• Weekend requirement of 5-6 shifts (every other weekend)
• 24-hour unit orientation required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of experience required (will accept first-time travelers)
• Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias and remote monitoring required
• Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, and Sheath Removal experience required
• Experience with accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management required
• Cardiac drip titration experience (Diltiazem and Amiodarone) required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Preferred certification: NIH
• Navy scrubs required (not provided)
• Must use Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR systems
• Self-scheduling per unit needs
• Storm team/Hurricane team assignment required
• Fatigue policy: Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or 60 hours per week
• Care for patients with congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and post cardiac catheterization
• Perform sheath pulls, manage TR bands and Femstop devices
• Administer cardiac drips including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine
