Respiratory Therapist Job in Fredericksburg, VA

Mary Washington Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with floating responsibilities across the Emergency Room and Adult ICU Stepdown units. Mandatory on-call coverage includes 3 shifts per 6 weeks, and you will provide every other weekend and holiday coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver airway management, medication administration, arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and analysis
• Administer oxygen therapy, suctioning, pulmonary toileting, BiPAP, CPAP, and nebulizer treatments
• Provide aerosol, bronchial hygiene, and lung inflation therapies
• Implement and manage CPAP/BiPAP systems in adult critical care and emergency department settings
• Assume charge responsibilities (training provided if needed)
• Complete non-billable education modules (up to 8 hours within 1 week of start)
• Attend monthly department meetings or acknowledge meeting minutes

Required Qualifications:

• Allied Health Professional credential (Respiratory Therapist)
• 4 years of respiratory experience with travel experience preferred
• Current BLS, CRTT, and VA License
• ACLS certification (must obtain within 90 days of start date if not current)
• Adult critical care, emergency department, and community hospital experience
• Epic charting system experience
• RRT certification preferred
• NICU, ED, and adult ICU experience preferred

Additional Requirements:

• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Wine colored scrubs required
