ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks required
• Holidays as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
• First-time travelers welcome
• Patient ratio of 4-5 patients
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, TNCC
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Level 2 Trauma experience preferred
• Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed, no study materials provided)
• Skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV vasopressors, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, and triage
• Work in a 63-room emergency department seeing approximately 180 visits per day
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and more
• Respiratory therapy available in the department 24/7 to assist with BiPAP and ABGs
• Adult emergency department with pediatrics separated into its own unit
