Special Procedures Technologist Job in Overland Park, KS

You will work as a Special Procedures Technologist in the Interventional Radiology department at BJC West - Saint Lukes South Hospital. This is a 13-week travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026, with a guaranteed minimum of 3 shifts per week.

Schedule and Hours

• Monday through Friday, 5x8 day shifts (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, varies by day)
• Weekend call coverage only (1–2 weeknight calls per week; weekend call every 4–6 weekends)
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off allowed during the contract

Your Responsibilities

• Perform interventional radiology procedures including aortography, embolization, stent placement, angiography, and radiofrequency ablation
• Manage central venous access, PICC lines, and port placement and maintenance
• Maintain sterile technique, prep access sites, and function as room circulator
• Operate GE Innova IGS equipment and utilize EPIC EMR system
• Stock supplies and maintain equipment inventory
• Float between departments, units, and facilities as needed; assist with X-ray when IR is not busy
• Work with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Special Procedures or related field
• Kansas LRT license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• BLS and ARRT R certifications required
• First-time travelers accepted
