RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Medical surgical telemetry unit serving as overflow unit for post-surgical and observation patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 during days, nights, and weekends
• Unit transitioning to team nursing model with LPN support
• 42-bed unit with daily census of 42 patients
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with medical oncology, GYN surgery, and med-surg diagnoses
• On-call and weekend coverage as needed
• Must have minimum 2 years recent med-surg experience and 1 year travel experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Skills required: Telemetry monitoring and IV starts
• EPIC experience preferred
• ADN accepted for this position
• Must hold active RN license in Tennessee or compact license compliant with NLC guidelines
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility
• Holiday work requirements apply for end-of-year assignments
• May float between like units and campuses within 20-mile radius
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
