Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts available for both days (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM) and nights (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Acute care setting
• Every other weekend required, covering both Saturday and Sunday for day and night shifts
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call or standby call requirements
• No floating within the Respiratory Therapy department
• Assigned approximately 26-28 points per day using the AARC point system
• Care for general medical, intermediate, and ICU patients including adults, pediatrics, and neonates
• Experience in a large critical care facility (300 beds or more) required
• Critical care experience required
• Preferred experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) rather than Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Equipment used includes Servo U, Servo i, and LTV ventilators; ResMed S9 for BiPAP/CPAP; Fisher Paykel for heated high flow
• Trilogy BiPAP/CPAP equipment also utilized
• Team lead available on each shift as a resource, not taking assignments
• Hospitalist and intensivist available in-house 24/7
• Charting system: EPIC
• Any color scrubs acceptable; scrubs are not provided
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC
• Active Illinois license required or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
