SLP Job in Richmond, VA

Join CJW Medical - Johnston-Willis Campus as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. This is a 91-day travel assignment running 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts (7:30 AM–5:00 PM), with a start date of June 29, 2026.

About the Role

You will work on the 5th floor of the main hospital building, evaluating and treating patients with multiple diagnoses related to swallowing and speech-language disorders. Your patient ratio is typically 1:8–10. Day shift coverage means no night shifts; you may assist with rotating weekends, usually one shift per month. When needed, you may float to the acute hospital setting.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) Studies
• Use specialized equipment: MBS Suite, Vital Stim, IOPI, EMST150, and Bioness BITs
• Document in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
• Provide direct patient care focused on adult populations in medical settings

Requirements

• Virginia SLP license
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Experience with adult populations and medical settings
• Neuro experience preferred
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred

Facility & Logistics

Dress code requires black scrub bottoms; royal blue scrub top is preferred, though other colors are accepted. Weekly pay is $2,044.
