Pediatric Respiratory Therapist Job in Richmond, VA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week night shift assignment at VCU Medical Center in Richmond, VA. This role is ideal for first-time travelers with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 3x12 nights
• Duration: 91 days, starting May 11, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,592
• Two pre-approved time off days available

Clinical Scope:

You will work across NICU, PICU, and Pediatric Acute Care units, supporting patient care for neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents. Your responsibilities include high-risk delivery attendance, external transports with competency assessment, and support for the pediatric emergency department at this Level 1 trauma center. You may float within scope as needed.

Required Skills and Techniques:

• Intubation assistance and mechanical ventilation weaning
• High-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) and high-frequency jet ventilation (HFJV)
• Heliox administration
• BiPAP and high-flow nasal cannula management
• Bronchoscopy support
• Servo I ventilator operation (required) and Puritan Bennett ventilators (preferred)

Required Qualifications:

• Current BLS, NRP, PALS, and RRT certifications
• Virginia respiratory therapy license
• Epic charting experience
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
• Natural nail policy compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Onboarding:

You will complete 6 hours of non-billable educational modules during orientation week to familiarize yourself with facility protocols and specialized equipment.
