RN - Oncology

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float as needed to other areas in 4-hour blocks, floating before staff RNs
• Low census may occur in hour increments, with unit typically utilizing 4-hour increments; traveler may be asked to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift
• Patient population primarily consists of surgical oncology and medical oncology patients, with a small population receiving chemo treatments
• Patient ratios range from 4:1 or 5:1 on days and PMs; night shift is normally 5:1 but can reach up to 7:1
• Night shift will always have techs on; CNAs are scheduled all shifts
• Use of Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Epic experience preferred; previous electronic charting experience required if no Epic experience
• Chemotherapy certification required
• Wisconsin RN license and BLS required
• Minimum 2+ years of experience required; 1 year on MSO unit preferred; oncology experience required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any scrub color permitted
