RN - Trauma

Job Details:

• Work on 36-bed medical telemetry unit (5W Medicine 610)
• Day shift staffed with 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 3 CNAs, 1 HUC, and 1-2 sitters
• Night shift staffed with 1 charge nurse, 7 RNs, 3 CNAs, 0.5 HUC, and 1-2 sitters
• Day shift RN patient ratio: 1:5/6 patients
• Night shift RN patient ratio: 1:6/7 patients
• Must sign up for 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday count as weekend shifts on night shift)
• Float to medical-surgical units: 3W, 5W, K8 (sister units)
• Prepare patients for endoscopy, interventional radiology, and operating room procedures
• Work with medical remote telemetry monitoring, Cerner Patient Observation (CPO), and VC150s in every patient room
• Use work station on wheels for documentation and Tap and Go computer access
• Document using Cerner EMR system
• Required certifications: BLS (required), CMSRN (encouraged)
• Medical telemetry experience required
• BSN, leadership experience, and charge nurse experience preferred
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs (top and bottom), white top with navy blue bottom, or all white scrubs
