About this role
Sutter Health Delta Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 14, 2026, paying $2,555.19 weekly.
Role Overview
You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week with alternating weekends. The department maintains a 4:1 patient ratio and operates a 33-bed emergency department with an average daily census of 16 patients. You will care for patients across all age groups, from neonates through geriatric populations, managing trauma cases, cardiac emergencies, ventilated patients, and various acute conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency setting
- Manage emergency medications and trauma patient care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
- Utilize Epic charting system
- Participate in charge nurse duties when assigned
Requirements
- Current California RN license
- 2+ years of emergency department experience
- Community hospital experience required
- Trauma Level II experience required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications (all AHA certified)
- 7-year work history verification
- Available for lab work within 3–5 days of signing
Position Details
The department will make every attempt to maintain consistent shift start times. You will receive 24 hours of orientation. Weekend coverage is required, and you may request one pre-approved time off during the assignment; one holiday may also be approved. Epic charting experience and previous charge experience are preferred.
