ICU Registered Nurse Job in Woodruff, WI

Aspirus Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, Wisconsin is seeking a Registered Nurse for its 10-bed ICU/Intermediate Care Unit. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026, offering 3x12 night shifts at $2,351.52 weekly.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a mixed-acuity ICU/IMC setting with variable patient ratios: 1:2 in ICU, 1:3–1:4 in IMC, and 1:5–1:6 in medical-surgical areas. You are expected to float to other units as needed, including a 34-bed medical-surgical floor. Facility-wide floating to Rhinelander, Eagle River, and Tomahawk locations may occur and will be prescheduled when possible.

Schedule and Commitment

• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• On-call responsibilities apply; call back minimum is 2 hours
• Low census unbillable hours: up to 36 hours contractually eligible
• Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation week

Requirements

• Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• One travel assignment preferred but not required
• Associate Degree or Certificate in nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility

Work Environment

Any color scrubs are permitted. You will use EPIC for electronic health records documentation. The facility supports clinical excellence and teamwork in a collaborative setting.
