Occupational Therapist Job in Sarasota, FL

You'll work as an Occupational Therapist in the outpatient setting at Sarasota Memorial Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, providing direct patient care in a structured, focused environment.

Schedule and Hours

• Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts
• Shift times: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No float requirements

Your Role

• Deliver one-on-one patient care with 60-minute treatment sessions
• Treat 8 patients per day
• Work with diverse patient populations including stroke, spinal cord injury, head injury, and Parkinson's disease
• Option to pursue musculoskeletal diagnosis treatment if interested

Required Skills and Experience

• Prior outpatient experience required
• Current BLS certification
• Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn the Fugl-Meyer Upper Extremity Assessment
• Vestibular experience preferred
• Experience with paired vagus nerve stimulation protocol (Vivistim) is a plus

Assignment Details

• 91-day assignment
• Start date: July 6, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,365.20
• Must be located outside 50-mile radius from Sarasota (non-local candidates only)

This is a straightforward outpatient role with consistent hours and a clear patient load. You'll work independently without float duties, allowing you to build rapport with your patient caseload and focus on delivering quality care.
