Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12.5-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend schedule
• No call requirements
• 13-week assignment length
• Patient ratios of 1:5/6
• Must have at least 2+ years of Medical-Surgical RN experience
• Required certifications: BLS, Active Texas RN License
• Required skills: IV peripheral start and care, central line care, tubes/drains (NG, JP, chest tube), ostomy care, insert and care of Foley catheter
• Must be proficient with Meditech charting system
• Preferred skills: tracheostomy care, wound vacs/large dressing changes, 3-way bladder irrigation
• Dress code: Navy scrub top and pants with navy or white scrub jacket
• Nail policy: No acrylics, no longer than 1 inch, clean with no chipped nail polish
• Hair requirements: Off shoulders, natural color
• Tattoos should be covered whenever possible
• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
• All travelers are required to float as needed
• Handle all surgical procedures, trauma patients, and large wounds
