Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 4x12 hour shifts per week
• Weekend coverage required
• Charge nurse responsibilities may be required based on operational needs with provided training and resources
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; unable to accommodate RTO for Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving, or Christmas
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Local Indiana residents not accepted for this position
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Charting system: Cerner
• Patient ratio: 5:1 for days and nights
• Patient population: Adults and Geriatrics
• 24-bed unit with a daily census of 24
• Orientation hours: 40
• Floating within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals is required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must be proficient with a wide range of clinical skills including telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, IV insulin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management (no titration), tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, PICC line management, central line blood draws, and more
• Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams
