ICU Registered Nurse Job in Odessa, TX

You'll work as a Critical Care RN at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX, providing direct patient care in our ICU. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting May 12, 2026, with 3x12 night shifts at $2,099.52 weekly.

Role Requirements

• 2 years of nursing experience with mandatory travel experience
• Patient ratio of 2–3 patients
• Willingness to float to Med-Surg, Telemetry, and ER for critical care holds
• Weekend coverage required; one pre-approved time off allowed
• Cerner charting system experience
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred

Required Certifications

• ACLS, BLS, TNCC or TCAR
• NIH certification
• 6 hours total of stroke education
• EKG course completion

Core Clinical Skills

• Arterial line and central line management
• Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Blood product administration
• Continuous IV sedation and paralytics
• CVA and acute stroke management
• ICP monitoring
• Post-cardiac surgery and post-neurosurgery care
• Titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips

Patient Populations

You will care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and chronic or acute renal failure. You'll manage procedural sedation, sheath removal, lumbar drains, external ventricular drains, and hypothermia protocols.

Location & Travel

Local candidates are not accepted. You must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Odessa. Documentation must be completed by Tuesday 4:30 PM CST prior to your start date with no exceptions.
