<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - Med Surg</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work on medical/surgical unit caring for patients pre and post-surgical services<br>• Patient ratios are 5:1 for surgical patients and 3:1 for step-down area<br>• Provide nursing care for patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex<br>• Care for patients post-operatively with new drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies, NGT or DHT<br>• Must have acute care surgical floor experience with step-down/PCU experience required<br>• ENT and/or transplant experience preferred<br>• OR candidates will not be accepted for this position<br>• Monitor physiological data and intervene when necessary<br>• Administer medications as prescribed and manage IV infusions and blood products<br>• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments<br>• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures<br>• Interact with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions<br>• Delegate tasks to support staff and make referrals for patient care needs<br>• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required<br>• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required<br>• Current RN License issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact license<br>• Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required<br>• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This major academic medical center serves as a premier healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services and advanced surgical care.
