Telemetry RN Job in Des Moines, IA

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is seeking an RN for a Telemetry position. You will provide direct patient care and monitoring in a medical surgical telemetry unit, working three 12-hour night shifts per week for a 91-day assignment beginning April 5, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and vital signs for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by providers
• Provide comprehensive patient care in the medical surgical telemetry setting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support optimal patient outcomes

Schedule and Requirements

• 3x12 night shifts per week
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) schedule
• Holiday coverage required: July 3rd and 4th, Thanksgiving (day before and day of), and New Year's Day (day before and day of)
• Willingness to float between multiple facility locations as needed
• Medical surgical telemetry nursing experience required

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,187.90

This is a straightforward telemetry nursing role where you'll use your clinical skills to care for patients on continuous cardiac monitoring while working nights. If you have med-surg telemetry experience and are comfortable with the every-other-weekend schedule and facility float expectations, this assignment may be a good fit.
