ED Registered Nurse Job in Lees Summit, MO

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at BJC West - Saint Lukes East - Lees Summit. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting May 25, 2026, with a 3x12 day shift schedule. Your weekly pay is $2,011.39.

Role Details

You will manage a 1:4 patient ratio across all shifts in a 32-room emergency department handling approximately 143 visits per day. You will provide care to patients of all ages—adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics—across pediatric, psychiatric, IV therapy, respiratory, neurological, and orthopedic specialties. Your responsibilities include triage, emergency response, managing ventilated patients, continuous IV medication administration, and splint application.

Requirements

• 2+ years of recent emergency room experience with a full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months
• Previous charge experience and travel experience required
• Current BLS, NIHSS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Both Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact license
• EPIC charting system experience

Scheduling

You will work every third weekend or cover 8 weekend shifts during a 6-week schedule period, with a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per contract. You are guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week assignment. No on-call requirements. Maximum 7 days of requested time off allowed. You may be assigned holiday shifts and charge RN duties as needed.

Facility Details

Float is required to all SLHS Metro EDs with potential for regular floating between departments and facilities. Navy scrubs are required. You will work in a high-volume emergency setting with diverse patient acuity and presentation.
