ED RN Job in Asheville, NC

Opportunity:

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work in a high-volume emergency department with 101 beds
• Patient ratios are typically 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Every other weekend scheduling required with flexibility to meet departmental needs
• Block scheduling is not available
• Must be open to floating to all sections within the ED but no floating outside of the ED
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS before start date; ENPC within 90 days of hire
• Documentation system: Cerner
• Equipment used: Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Required dress code: Navy scrubs
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a nurse with at least 1 year of experience in an ER setting required
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED with over 100,000 visits preferred
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and give feedback in real time
• Must follow AIDET patient experience standards and keep patient boards updated throughout each visit
• Techs available in cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, and triage; unit clerks available on days and nights
