ICU RN Job in Albany, GA

You will work as a registered nurse in a 20-bed intensive care unit at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. This is a 119-day travel assignment with 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) on an every-other-weekend schedule. Your weekly pay is $2,233.80.

Your Role

You will provide direct patient care with a 2:1 patient ratio, and 1:1 ratios for higher acuity patients. You will care for a diverse patient population across multiple specialties:

• Neuro patients with brain drains
• Orthopedic trauma patients requiring traction
• Cardiovascular patients, including post-operative open-heart CABG patients
• Medical ICU overflow patients when sister units reach capacity

Clinical Responsibilities

You will manage specialized equipment and procedures, including balloon pumps, impellas, EKOS devices, and bedside CRRT machines for renal patients. You will care for open abdomen cases from the OR that may be re-opened at bedside. You will use the MEDITECH charting system for documentation.

The facility is planning to launch an ECMO program this summer, and you may be involved in that expansion.

Requirements

You must hold current certifications in ACLS, BLS (American Heart Association), and NIHSS. A BSN is not required. Experience in ICUs or surgical trauma ICUs (STICUs) at level 1–2 trauma centers is preferred.

Additional Details

You must work within a strict 75-mile radius restriction from the facility. The cancellation policy allows 12 hours off every 2 weeks. The assignment begins on June 22, 2026.
