Med Surg RN Job in Greensboro, NC

Cone Health - The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Med Surg unit with a focus on orthopedic care. You will work 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on an every-other-weekend schedule.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for orthopedic patients
• Support elective and trauma cases including total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and repairs
• Manage patient ratios of 1:6, with possible stretch to 1:7
• Operate safe patient handling equipment and orthopedic-specific devices including CPM units, knee immobilizers, and bone foam
• Collaborate with rapid response teams as needed
• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients across the care continuum
• Document in the EPIC charting system

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience; first-time travelers not accepted
• Orthopedic and trauma experience required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)

Schedule & Duration:

Assignment length is 91 days, starting June 22, 2026. One holiday shift and one evening shift may be required during holiday periods. No call responsibilities. You will complete a 36-hour orientation and may be floated to other Cone Health facility campuses as needed. The facility maintains a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.

Weekly pay is $2,021.76. This is a direct hire opportunity with a strong healthcare system in North Carolina.
