RN - Endoscopy

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday with on-call responsibilities for after hours, weekends and holidays
• Shift times will be one of the following depending on unit needs: 6:00 AM-2:30 PM, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, or 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
• Must function independently in all areas of Endoscopy including advanced procedures
• Perform advanced endoscopy procedures including EUS, ERCP, and pulmonary procedures such as bronchoscopy and EBUS
• Expertise in bariatric procedures and ION Robot preferred
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with daily census of 25 visits across 4 rooms/beds
• Must be fully competent in all endoscopic procedures and demonstrate facility mission and values
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA certifications required)
• Must have 2 years of experience in specialty
• Skills required include conscious sedation administration/monitoring, airway management, bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, specimen handling, IV starts and maintenance
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• 24 hours of orientation provided over 5 days per week
• Must maintain Louisiana nursing license or compact license
• NURSYS reports required and must be up to date within 4 weeks of submission
• Must live over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
• May be assigned to Emergency Team during emergency events with expectation to remain at facility
