Echo Technologist Job in Nashua, NH

St Joseph Hospital - Nashua is seeking an Echo Technologist to join our cardiac imaging team. You will perform cardiac ultrasound procedures under physician direction, exercising independent judgment to create technically diagnostic exams for cardiologist and radiologist interpretation.

Your responsibilities include:

• Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures requiring technical proficiency and independent decision-making
• Assist cardiologists during invasive ultrasound procedures
• Review order requisitions for pertinent clinical information and special patient requests
• Complete thorough documentation on patient exams and ensure appropriate billing codes
• Maintain medical supplies and stock examination rooms
• Prepare and clean patient exam rooms and all ultrasound equipment
• Participate in on-call rotation, approximately one week every fifth or sixth week
• Work one hospital holiday annually on rotating basis; shifts may be exchanged with other Echo Techs with supervisor approval

Required qualifications:

• Current New Hampshire State License
• Degree or certificate from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP) accredited sonography program
• Cardiac ultrasound certification by ARDMS or CCI within 12 months of graduation
• Basic Life Support certification
• Ability to lift or carry up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to perform combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching throughout shifts
