RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work in a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center emergency department with over 100,000 annual visits
• 101-bed emergency department with 4:1 patient ratios typically for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Every other weekend scheduling requirement with flexible department-based scheduling
• Float to all sections within the ED (no floating outside the department)
• Work with Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• 2 years nursing experience required with at least 1 year in emergency room setting
• Previous Level 2 trauma center experience preferred, HCA experience preferred
• Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department required
• Follow AIDET protocols and maintain respectful patient experience standards
• Navy scrubs required uniform
• Support for pediatric emergency patients through the region's only children's hospital services
