RN (Registered Nurse)

<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - Med Surg Orthopedic</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM<br>• Self-scheduling with every third weekend requirement (Friday and Saturday considered weekend for nights)<br>• Patient ratio of 1:5 with 28 beds plus 22 overflow beds<br>• BLS certification required<br>• Must pass open book exam during orientation with 90% score or face termination<br>• Navy blue scrubs required<br>• Driver&#39;s license required at submittal<br>• Must live more than 50 miles from facility and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities<br>• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination<br>• Will float to PCU and McDermott (behavioral health) as needed<br>• Care for patients with total knees, total hips, shoulder replacements, COPD, diabetes, wounds, fractures, sepsis, pneumonia, and other medical-surgical conditions<br>• Manage IV infusions, heparin, IV antibiotics, antithrombics, and narcotics (no drip titration required)<br>• Use EPIC charting system<br>• Focus on hourly rounding and bedside shift report<br>• First week classroom orientation followed by one 12-hour unit shift<br>• Must be flexible, self-directed, and comfortable with change</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This acute care hospital operates as a Level 3 trauma center providing comprehensive medical and surgical services to the community.
