RN - MICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday requirements apply
• 2:1 patient ratio in 26-bed Medical ICU
• Must be willing to care for COVID-19 patients
• Required to float to other Medical-Surgical Units and Intensive Care Units as needed
• Provide total patient care including ventilator management and critical care drip knowledge
• Work with equipment including ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, balloon pumps, ventriculostomy drains, and glucometers
• Use iMobile phones and hospital technology
• Documentation using Meditech with Evidence Based Clinical Documentation (EBCD)
• Perform procedures including intubations, cardioversions, ventriculostomy drain placement and management, IABP management, CRRT, and patient proning
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (TNCC preferred)
• ICU experience required with advanced assessment skills and knowledge of cardiac, neuro, and respiratory systems
• Must demonstrate proficiency in donning and doffing PPE including masks, face shields, goggles, PAPRs, and hoods
• Participate in hourly rounding, bedside hand-off reporting, and completion of My Care Board
• Use AIDET approach with focus on compassionate connected care
• Dress code requires ceil blue scrubs with optional white or ceil blue scrub jacket
• Green surgery scrubs provided when working with COVID patients
• Self-scheduling available within certain guidelines
