ED RN Job in Michigan City, IN

Franciscan Health Michigan City is seeking a registered nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting July 27, 2026, offering competitive compensation and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care across the emergency continuum, caring for medical, injured, and mental health patients of all ages. Your responsibilities include trauma care, patient assessment, and collaborative treatment planning with the interdisciplinary team.

Schedule & Hours

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Mid-shift hours: 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend shift required
• No call requirements
• No float requirements

Clinical Details

• Standard patient ratio of 1:4, with flexibility for low acuity patients
• Level I fluid warmer equipment in use
• Epic EMR system
• Experience with trauma care across the lifespan preferred

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 3 years of emergency nursing experience
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred

Compensation & Logistics

• Weekly pay: $2,102.40
• 91-day assignment
• Navy blue scrubs per facility dress code
