Physical Therapist Job in Hiram, GA

Paulding Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist for our outpatient rehabilitation center. You will work Monday through Friday on day shifts, with scheduling that varies week to week. This position requires on-call availability and weekend and holiday coverage (minimum 2 major and 2 minor holidays annually).

Your responsibilities will include:

• Implement physical therapy treatment plans under the direction of a physical therapist
• Select and progress appropriate treatment activities to help patients reach established goals
• Collaborate with the physical therapist and patients/families to revise goals and adjust the plan of care
• Provide patient and family education and training on prescribed exercises and techniques
• Document each treatment session according to departmental protocols
• Complete discharge instructions and coordinate follow-up referrals to community resources
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information
• Apply AIDET principles in all patient interactions
• Participate in staff meetings, required in-services, and process improvement activities
• Complete core and annual competencies on established timelines

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma and Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy
• Physical Therapist Assistant license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Effective communication and customer service skills
• Basic computer skills
