Physical Therapist Job in Highlands, NC

You'll work as a Physical Therapist in a combined acute and extended long-term care setting at Highlands-Cashiers Hospital. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Your responsibilities include:

• Performing physical therapy evaluations and establishing plans of care
• Providing treatment across acute beds, swing beds, nursing home units, and outpatient services
• Treating patients in their rooms, hallways, outdoor areas, and the rehabilitation gym
• Assisting with rounds and care conferences as needed
• Maintaining communication with the rehabilitation team about patient progress, equipment needs, and discharge planning
• Managing 1:1 patient ratios

Requirements:

• Current North Carolina Physical Therapy license
• CPR certification
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a medical setting
• Demonstrated experience in hospital and/or nursing home environments

You'll have access to comprehensive rehabilitation equipment and both hospital and nursing home gyms. The facility uses Cerner and NetHealth documentation systems. Dress code is business casual or scrubs.

This assignment is 91 days, beginning February 2, 2026. Your weekly pay is $2,044.
