Cat Scan Tech - Cat Scan Tech

Job Details:

• Night shift position working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs
• Perform CT scanning procedures including patient positioning, exposure factors, and radiation protection
• Verify proper clinician orders and obtain complete clinical history prior to procedures
• Administer contrast media following established procedures and protocols
• Operate power injector and maintain competency with venipuncture
• Review CT images for clinically acceptable results and release patients
• Send all studies to PACS immediately after completion and print CDs as needed
• Complete all studies in RIS before completing in PACS
• Transport, position, and assist patients on and off procedure table
• Apply shielding, supportive, and immobilization devices and equipment
• Respond to emergency situations and maintain life support equipment
• Maintain Joint Commission standards and all applicable regulatory agency standards
• Take call when necessary
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology required; CT experience preferred
• Required certifications: ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R), ARRT Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT), and BLS (AHA, ARC, or Instructor level)
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required
