Description

<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - CVICU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex under general supervision<br>• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients in the cardiovascular intensive care unit<br>• Must have experience with Impella, balloon pump, and heart recovery procedures<br>• Proficiency required in Impella, IABP, CRRT, post open heart day 2 care, and ECMO<br>• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments<br>• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures<br>• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations and intervene when necessary<br>• Administer medications as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products<br>• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and discharge<br>• Delegate tasks to support staff and make referrals for patient care needs<br>• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required<br>• Associate&#39;s Degree in Nursing from accredited program required<br>• Bachelor&#39;s Degree in Nursing preferred<br>• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License required<br>• Required certifications: Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)<br>• Strong verbal and written communication skills required<br>• Computer skills and ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This major academic medical center serves as a leading healthcare institution providing comprehensive cardiovascular intensive care services.
