ICU Registered Nurse Job in Alexander City, AL

Russell Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Intensive Care Unit. You'll work the night shift in a 13-week travel assignment, providing critical care to patients in an ICU setting.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: June 29, 2026
• Weekly Pay: $2,229.12
• Location: Alexander City, AL

Your Experience

You'll need 1–2 years of nursing experience with demonstrated competency in:

• Ventilator management
• Drip management
• IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
• Post-cardiac catheterization care

Requirements

• Current Alabama State or Compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR system preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• References required
• Copy of current certifications required

What to Expect

This assignment does not require floating to affiliate hospitals. The 50-mile radius rule applies, and local candidates are accepted at the same rate. You'll join a team focused on delivering skilled intensive care in a supportive environment. No overnight travel is necessary if you reside within the service area.
