Pharmacist Inpatient Job in San Francisco, CA

You will deliver pharmaceutical care as an inpatient pharmacist at Sutter Health CPMC Van Ness Campus in San Francisco. This role focuses on patient-centered clinical service and medication management across all patient populations, from neonates through geriatrics.

Your Responsibilities

• Work 4x10 hour shifts or 5x8 hour shifts with variable start times between 7:00 AM and 9:30 PM
• Provide medication information, education, preparation, and distribution services
• Perform patient assessments and monitoring with effective communication
• Exercise clinical judgment to implement patient care plans based on diagnosis
• Cover every other weekend with no on-call responsibilities
• Float to other facility locations when census is low on your home unit

Required Qualifications

• PharmD degree from an accredited school of pharmacy or registered pharmacist license
• Valid state license at time of submission
• 2 years of experience required for submission
• 7-year work history verification
• All AHA certifications in hand at time of submittal
• Available for lab work within 3–5 days of contract signing

Preferred Qualifications

• Completed PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program
• Epic charting experience

You will complete orientation modules through e-learning, averaging 1–5 hours. This position runs for 91 days, beginning May 4, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,994.34.
