Operating Room RN Job in Ironwood, MI

Aspirus Ironwood Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. This is a 13-week travel contract offering four 10-hour day shifts per week with 40 guaranteed hours. Shift times are typically 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with potential start times between 6:30 AM and 9:00 AM depending on surgical cases.

On-Call Commitment: You will be on call 1–2 times per week from end of shift through 7:00 AM the following day. Occasional weekend call covering Friday through Sunday into Monday morning is required. Holiday call is required; holiday shifts are not. While on call, you manage cases from surgical admission through unit discharge.

Role and Responsibilities: You will work across pre-op, PACU, circulating, and endoscopy roles. The facility operates three ORs and one endoscopy room. Surgical cases span orthopedic procedures (total knee, hip, shoulder, ORIFs, hip fractures, I&Ds), general surgery (lap appy, lap chole, lap hernia, hemorrhoidectomy, lumpectomy, lesion removals), OB/GYN (hysteroscopy, hysterectomy, lap salpingectomy), ophthalmology (cataract removal), endoscopy (EGD/colonoscopy), and podiatry (bunionectomy).

Requirements: Minimum 2+ years of operating room experience with strong circulating skills required. Pre/post-op experience required; PACU experience preferred. You must hold current BLS (ARC or AHA) and ACLS (AHA or ARC) certifications. A Michigan RN license is required. Associate Degree or BSN is required. You must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility.

Logistics: Charting uses Epic. Scrub colors are provided by the facility. Weekly pay is $2,783.20.
