Endoscopy Technician

Endoscopy Tech - GI Tech

Job Details:

• Monday through Friday schedule with day shifts and night call responsibilities
• Travel experience required with at least 1 completed travel assignment
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• High Level Disinfection (HLD) certification highly desired
• Apply principles of aseptic technique to equipment preparation, maintenance, and procedure assistance
• Identify potential compromises to sterile and High Level Disinfectant integrity of items throughout procedures
• Disassemble and identify defective or malfunctioning parts and perform preventive maintenance on all procedure supplies and equipment
• Perform all pre-cleaning requirements per regulatory standards for all endoscopes including inspection, leak testing, cleaning, high level disinfecting, and identifying needed repairs
• Follow established protocols for reprocessing endoscopes and accessories and for storing equipment
• Determine methods of High Level Disinfection based on material and manufacturer instructions
• Check and calibrate equipment according to equipment protocol
• Perform ambulatory technician duties as assigned including obtaining and documenting vital signs and transporting patients
