ICU RN Float Pool Job in Geneva, NY

Finger Lakes Health Geneva General Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for a full-time float pool position in our intensive care setting. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with every-other-weekend and holiday rotation requirements. You will also cover two on-call shifts per 4-week period.

Your Role

As a float pool RN, you will provide bedside care across multiple units, including the ICU, Emergency Room, and Medical-Surgical departments. You will deliver care to patients across all age groups—pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric—while maintaining confidentiality and upholding our Healing Environment principles. Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems, is essential.

Required Qualifications

• Current New York State registered professional nurse license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, or Critical Care units
• Critical care experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
• NIHSS certification
• Basic Coronary Care certification required within 6 months of hire
• CPI certification required within 90 days of hire

Recommended Certifications

• Emergency Nurses Association certification within 2 years of hire
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) within 2 years of hire

You will receive cross-training to maintain competency across multiple units and demonstrate comfort with floating assignments as needed. This assignment runs for 96 weeks, beginning July 6, 2026. Weekly compensation is $2,445.30.
