ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Day shift position from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours - must be indicated on submission form
• 13-week assignment
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• No call requirements
• Block schedule cannot be accommodated
• RTO must be made up on the back end and will not be approved in the first week of assignment
• Only 1 holiday RTO request permitted per assignment
• 68-bed Emergency Department unit
• Patient ratio of 4:1 routinely; surge and other circumstances will alter ratios
• EMR system: EPIC
• Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Utilize nursing process to provide patient care in a busy urban Level 1 Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, and regional burn center
• High acuity environment seeing 200+ patients per day with trauma and pediatric cases
• Must wear black scrubs; jeans and unprofessional attire are not acceptable
• 1 year of Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility required; must be indicated on resume
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), TNCC, NIHSS (may be submitted without but must obtain prior to start)
• Current RN license required - must meet criteria for Missouri licensure or be currently licensed in Missouri
• Trauma/pediatrics experience and high acuity experience preferred
