Emergency Department RN Job in Utica, NY

MVHS Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department in Utica, NY. This is an 89-day travel assignment beginning July 27, 2026, working three 12-hour night shifts per week at $2,457.18 weekly.

Shift Details

• Hours: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule: 3x12 nights
• Scrubs: Navy blue
• Floating to other units is required

Clinical Responsibilities

You will provide emergency care to patients across all age groups—newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric populations. You will manage common diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. You will operate specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun devices.

The 64-bed unit includes 2 triage bays, 40 acute beds, 6 super track beds, 2 trauma bays, 10 CDU beds, and 6 psychiatric beds.

Requirements

• Active New York RN license
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience with some pediatric experience
• Travel healthcare experience
• EMR experience with EPIC required
• Current AHA ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• TNCC certification required at time of submission

Preferred Qualifications

• Charge nurse capability
