Electrophysiology Technician Job in Washington, DC

Medstar Washington Hospital Center is seeking an Electrophysiology Technician to join its cardiology department. You will work 3x12 day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) or 4x10 day shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM), with 2 days of late case coverage per week. There are no on-call or weekend requirements, and no floating between units.

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform cardiac electrophysiology studies, cardioversion, device implants and explants
• Handle atrial and ventricular ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator procedures
• Conduct EKG monitoring for inpatient and outpatient settings, obtain vitals, and assess sinus node rhythms
• Manage hemodynamic monitoring during procedures
• Support an average daily caseload of 18 cases across 5 procedure rooms
• Work with adult and geriatric patients

Required Qualifications:

• 2 years of electrophysiology technician experience
• 1 previous travel assignment or 1 month per-diem experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCI RCES/RCIS
• Proficiency with Cerner, electrophysiology lab protocols, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience with Philips/Siemens X-Ray machines and GE Micropacer equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

• ARRT certification and Fluoro permit
• Experience with 3D mapping systems, ultrasound machines, and laser lead machines
