Registered Nurse - Operating Room @ Ochsner Baptist Medical Center

Job Details:

• On-call requirement: 3 call shifts every 4 weeks (2 weeknight call shifts and 1 weekend call shift - Saturday or Sunday)
• Must have experience with neonates, adults, and geriatrics
• Epic experience required
• Circulator experience required
• Minimum 2 years experience required, 3 years preferred
• Travel experience required - unit will not accept first-time travelers
• Must be over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
• Patient ratio: 1:1 during day shifts
• 13 operating rooms available
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• One pre-approved time off request allowed
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
• Compact or Louisiana license required upon submittal
• NURSYS reports must be current (within 4 weeks of submission)
• 2 Manager/Supervisor references required for clearance
• Must be available for emergency team assignments during emergency events
• NO CALL-INS policy strictly enforced
• Must be separated from facility for 1 full year if previously employed there
