RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Some early shifts available from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM (or until structural heart procedures are completed)
• One of the 4 days will be designated as a late shift (completing the last patient of the day)
• Call requirement: 1 night per week
• Float requirement: as needed within hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
• Weekend requirement: 1 weekend every other month
• Self-scheduling system utilized
• 24-hour unit orientation provided
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must be proficient in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Experience required with cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion
• Must be skilled in procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Experience with sheath removal/monitoring and topical hemostasis required
• Knowledge of antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and emergency medications essential
• Must be comfortable with cardioversion and dysrhythmia management
• IV infusion pump operation and IV maintenance skills required
• Unit systems include Pyxis, MAC LAB, CUPID, EPIC, SBAR
• Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
• Daily census: approximately 30 patients
• 5 procedure rooms available
• Fatigue policy: cannot work more than 5 days in a row or more than 60 hours per week
• NC or Compact license required
