Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• 13-week assignment with day shifts available
• 36 or 48 hours per week scheduling options
• Every other weekend coverage required
• May float between sections within the facility occasionally
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• 4 years of experience required (will consider candidates with 2+ years)
• Required certifications: RRT, BLS, and Virginia state license
• ACLS and ACCS certifications preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience required, Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Must have strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Work within multidisciplinary team environment
• Perform various respiratory therapy procedures including ventilator management, airway care, arterial blood gas interpretation, and patient transport
• Handle emergency department respiratory needs and assist with intubations
• Manage mechanical ventilation weaning and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Provide pulmonary hygiene and tracheostomy care
• References required for submission
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
