Sterile Processing Technician Job in Rockford, IL

Swedish American in Rockford, IL is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician for a travel assignment. This is a full-time position running for 89 days, starting June 15, 2026.

Position Overview

You will work 8.5-hour evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM in the sterile processing department. Your responsibilities include sterilization and processing of medical instruments and equipment, maintaining sterile processing protocols, and ensuring proper cleaning, packaging, and sterilization procedures are followed at all times.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of sterile processing experience
• Experience in a similar healthcare setting
• Certification preferred (CRCST or CBSPD)
• Permanent address must be within 50 miles of the facility

Compensation

You will earn $1,357.80 per week as an Allied Health Professional in this role.
